Nothing feels better than reuniting with old friends. You could go months without talking to each other or hanging out because you all have taken different paths in life but when you finally meet, it’s like nothing has changed.
The joy I experienced from this reunion had less to do with how long I had known them or how much I had missed them, and more to do with how they made me feel. Friends that have been by your side through your childhood and school years provide you with a completely different kind of comfort level that allows you to be the person you really are, talk about how you feel, act silly and do the craziest things without any hesitation or any fear or any judgment. In short, when you’re around them, you’re able to bring out the real you.
